An update via Oxhey Opinion…
As you may have seen, there are plans to resurface the roads at Bushey Arches. This work will take place over 6 nights (from 10pm to 5am) starting on Friday 24th January. The £120,000 scheme to repair the worn-out road surface will be carried out on parts of Pinner Road, Aldenham Road and Chalk Hill.
The work at Bushey Arches (between A4008 Bushey Arches/A411 Chalk Hill roundabout and A410 Uxbridge Road roundabout) will be carried out using phased road closures. The A4008 Pinner Road section (between A4125 Eastbury Road and A410 Uxbridge Road) will begin on Wednesday 29 January. Signed alternative routes will be in place. Further details about the works, including road closures and diversion information, will be available on www.hertsdirect.org/roadworks. Vehicle access to properties will be maintained. This will be controlled by gatemen and vehicles will be allowed to enter the site only when it is safe to do so. Pedestrian access will not be affected. The work is weather dependent and from time to time unforeseen circumstances can arise and work may continue outside the advertised hours. Any changes to the proposed start date, duration or working hours will be announced on the information boards on site and will be available at www.hertsdirect.org/roadworks

West Coast mainline works and public meeting
During 2014 and 2015 there will be disruption to train services from Bushey due to Network Rail’s work upgrading the West Coast mainline. Your ward councillors have organised a public meeting to discuss this with representatives of London Midland. The meeting will take place on Thursday 6th February at 7.30pm in St Matthew’s Church Hall on Eastbury Road.
Health Campus Consultation
The consultation on the Health Campus is now underway. Local residents are able to comment on the new Watford Health Campus masterplan, which gives details of the proposals for the 29 hectares stretching from Watford Hospital, down to the River Colne and Wiggenhall Road until 18th February.
