Foodbank Update

Update on donations to Watford Foodbank and New Hope Trust – 9 May

This week saw another amazing week of donations for the Watford Foodbank and New Hope Trust!  Many thanks to you all. Please keep donating.

URGENTLY needed items include tinned and longer life meals such as chilli, bolognese and meat and vegetarian pies. And long-life milk and fruit juices, porridge pots, pot noodles, snacks and lunch ingredients.

Please note that the foodbank currently has enough tinned soup and baked beans.

The impact of the pandemic on people across the country is outlined in a recent article by the Trussell Trust that reports its network’s busiest ever period, with 81% more emergency food parcels being given out across the UK, including 122% more parcels going to children, compared to the same period in 2019.
